It’s no secret that the payback period for self-checkouts takes 2-3 years, and the shortage of staff in retail is breaking new records.

In this turbulent environment, technology is needed that allows businesses to adapt without significant costs. The Scan&Go service can be called such a solution.

This is a functionality based on the Good Choice mobile application, which allows the buyer to quickly fill a small basket (up to 10 items) and independently make payments at the checkout area.

How it works:

Step 1: The customer enters Scan&Go mode while in the store. The “scanner” mode opens.

Step 2: scans purchases using your phone (after each scan, a beep sounds like at the checkout).

Step 3: At the checkout area, transfers goods from the cart into a bag in front of high-precision cameras and makes payment using a mobile phone.

If necessary, additional control, a security officer at the exit from the checkout area can scan the QR code on the buyer’s electronic receipt and check the goods.

For example, mis-grades of goods, in-house production processes (when the balance of a product can be loaded into the database during the day upon production) and many other processes are identified and taken into account. This allows you to maintain an up-to-date showcase, i.e. automatically hide missing products from the assortment of the mobile application or “display” products received during the day.

As a result, 98% of ordered goods are in stock, and customers note a high level of service.

To ensure such high quality, the software includes integration modules that allow you to securely and quickly receive data from any existing retail partner database:

  • integration module with cash register software (necessary for obtaining up-to-date information about inventory balances in real time)

  • module for integration with the API information system. It is also possible to exchange data using CSV files (the easiest way).

Statistics are kept in detail on all delivery processes. Also, analytics is available through the OLAP subsystem with the possibility of detailed analysis of employee performance on 10+ parameters.
